Zeolite is a silica ore with the appearance of feldspar.
Internal and external surfaces can cover up to 600 cm² per cm³.
This enormous surface is available to the organisms responsible for the nitrogen cycle. The characteristics mentioned make zeolite a natural ion exchanger, for example ammonium.
Thanks to its high porosity, zeolite is a mechanical filter like few others. Heavy metals and toxic compounds are absorbed and biologically broken down.
Application:
1 Liter of Zeolite for a 400 Liter aquarium.
If you are using Zeolite for the first time, it should be introduced gradually in cumulative increments of 10% each week.
After 3 months, the Zeolite can be completely replaced.
Granulation: 4-8mm
