Phosphate minus is a very effective filter media based on iron oxide for the reduction of phosphates in the aquarium. The phosphate is directly absorbed by the large grain surface and can no longer be released. With Phosphate Minus, the phosphate level should quickly drop to a very low level.

Benefits :

  • Usable in fresh water and sea water
  • Absorbs phosphates and silicates
  • Prevents unwanted algae growth
  • Does not release phosphates
  • Improves coral growth

Recommendations:

  • Phosphate Minus Zoanthus can act for several months depending on the concentration of phosphates in the water. It should be changed when the phosphate level rises.
  • Regularly measure the phosphate level in your aquarium using reliable and accurate tests.

Dosage:

  • Use 100 ml of Phosphate Minus Zoanthus for 100 liters of sea water or 200 liters of fresh water
  • If the phosphate level does not drop, the dosage can be increased.
  • In a marine aquarium, the phosphate rate should not exceed 0.04 mg/l being the ideal value.
  • In freshwater aquariums, the phosphate rate should not exceed 0.4 mg/l 0.02mg/l is considered sufficient for the supply of nutrients to aquatic plants.

Directions for use: Rinse briefly before use with reverse osmosis water to remove fine particles. The use of a fluidized bed filter should be done only with a slow flow otherwise place the media in a filter sock in the water passage. Use a maximum of 25 ml per 100 liters of water for 7 days, then double this dosage. If the phosphate level rises again after some time the media is exhausted and needs to be replaced. Do not add more than 75 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water. Regularly measure the phosphate level with a reliable phosphate test and pay attention to making a slow reduction.
