How to mount the non-return valve? :

You will need to cut your CO² pipe and insert the valve between the two ends (an arrow is indicated on the valve and is facing the aquarium). Also, it should be as close to your aquarium water, a little above the water level. This will allow low migration of CO² into the pipe.

Why use a clapperboard? :

If the CO² is directed into the aquarium through the CO² transport pipe then there is no risk of water entering the pipe. However, if the solenoid valve stops adding CO² at night or if a bottle is empty, the CO² remaining in the hose will break down into your aquarium water, causing migration through the hose. If it reaches the technical equipment, it can cause corrosion and destroy your equipment. This valve works like a valve that only lets in carbon dioxide under pressure in one direction.

Attention , the valve is not suitable for air intakes (diaphragm pumps / air pumps), because they do not produce the right pressure unlike CO² kits with CO² gas. If you wish to have this use, we recommend the JBL Prosilent Safe valve specific to air pumps.
