DOC Skimmer 9410 DC has the same features as the model 9410, but is equipped with the Foamer electronic 9410.044 DC, a Controller and a power supply. Skimmer power is conveniently set on the Controller (1), allowing for greater flexibility in adjustments, e.g. in aquariums with a high protein and foam content. The "cup cleaning" button switches the skimmer off and on again while the cup is being cleaned. It stops and restarts the pump, preventing bubbles from spilling into the aquarium. The Hydrofoamer restarts automatically after 10 minutes if the "cup cleaning" button is accidentally not pressed again manually after cleaning. When the Hydrofoamer is switched off, the injection nozzle fills up with water, which dissolves calcium incrustations and significantly extends the time between complete servicing of the unit. However, the Hydrofoamer can remain in service, automatically rinsing the air circuit and injection nozzle.
The DOC Skimmer is easy and uncomplicated to install in aquarium filtrations with variable water levels, and requires no adjustment. It uses the Hydrofoamer TUNZE ® 9410.040 to simultaneously supply water and produce foam. The water flow rate is approx. 900 l/h. As with all DOC Skimmer TUNZE ® units, the reactor and discharge bucket form a single unit: each time the bucket is cleaned, the reactor is also cleaned, guaranteeing efficient and perfectly consistent skimming. While the bucket is being cleaned, the Hydrofoamer remains in operation, automatically rinsing the air circuit and injection nozzle.

Connection for ozone hose. Ozone improves skimmer performance and removes all coloring substances from aquarium water.
Removable mechanical filtration Postfilter on 300 µm nylon fibers at skimmer outlet with reduced biological effect. This filter does not promote nitrate formation, even during long cleaning intervals. It can also be filled with filter media such as activated carbon or phosphate inhibitors.
The stable base also features a water flow speed reduction function in the lower part of the skimmer.
The double-flow mixing chamber ensures highly efficient binding of organic substances.
Booster Ring allows fine regulation of skimming power and adapts the skimmer's internal water level to obtain more or less dry skimming.
Intermediate chamber with phase water: the Anti Overfoaming System prevents the skimmer from overflowing due to boiling and regulates skimming sensitivity according to the surface tension of the aquarium water and the water level in the filter. The skimmer operates independently and automatically adjusts its skimming power to the best possible output.
TUNZE® Hydrofoamer Silence 9410.040 is an air-water mixing pump specially designed for protein skimmers. The Hydrofoamer generates a large quantity of fine air bubbles with a diameter of between 0.1 and 0.3 mm. It requires just 11 W (15 W) of power consumption for an air flow rate of 600 l/h, putting it at the cutting edge of performance in this product class. With 900 l/h water flow, the Hydrofoamer also supplies water to the skimmer.
Recommended for seawater aquariums up to 1,200 liters.
