Skimming, filtering and aerating a saltwater aquarium without consuming energy is impossible. But no device on the market manages to consume less electricity than TUNZE ® DOC Skimmer 9410, at least with comparable results. With only 11 W (15 W), the DOC Skimmer succeeded in this challenge. In addition, it does not require adjustments, is very quiet and practical to use.
The DOC Skimmer is placed simply and without complications in the filtrations under aquarium with a water level which can be variable, its operation does not require any adjustment. It uses the Hydrofoamer TUNZE ® 9410.040 simultaneously ensuring the water supply and the production of foam. The water circulation rate is approx. 900 l/h. As with all TUNZE ® DOC Skimmers, reactor and evacuation cup form a single unit: each cleaning of the cup also involves cleaning the reactor, which guarantees effective and perfectly constant skimming. While the bucket is being cleaned, the Hydrofoamer remains in service, thus operating an automatic rinsing of the air circuit and the injection nozzle.

Postfilter removable mechanical filtration on 300 µm nylon fibers at the skimmer outlet with reduced biological effect. This filter does not promote the formation of nitrates, even during long cleaning intervals. It can also be filled with filter media such as activated carbon or anti-phosphates.
Stable base, also has a function for reducing the speed of water circulation in the lower part of the skimmer.
The mixing chamber with double stirring flow ensures high binding efficiency of organic substances.
Booster Ring allows a fine regulation of the skimming power and adapts the internal water level of the skimmer in order to obtain a more or less dry foam.
Intermediate chamber with phase water: the Anti Overfoaming System principle prevents overflow of the skimmer by boiling and regulates the skimming sensitivity depending on the surface tension of the aquarium water and the water level in the tank. filtered. The skimmer works on its own and automatically adapts its skimming power to the best possible performance.
TUNZE ® Hydrofoamer Silence 9410.040 is an air-water mixing pump specially designed for protein skimmers. The Hydrofoamer generates a large amount of fine air bubbles with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.3 mm. It requires only 11W (15W) of power consumption for an airflow of 600 l/h which puts it at the forefront of performance in this product class. With 900 l/h of water flow, the Hydrofoamer also ensures the water supply to the skimmer.
Recommended for saltwater aquariums up to 1,200 litres.
