Coralline algae will grow naturally, without the need for special supplements, in all reef systems optimized for hard corals. In order to allow the development of coralline algae in tanks containing only fish or soft corals, the alkalinity must be maintained at approximately 3meq/L (8.4°dKH) and the specific minor elements and trace elements must be available.
KH Coralline Gro is a buffer element complex of carbonates, potassium and trace elements such as iron in the proportions regularly absorbed by coralline algae. Coralline Gro should be used in place of Reef Foundation B supplement (buffer elements) when cycling new saltwater aquariums and on a regular basis for tanks containing only fish or soft corals. Coralline Gro should be dosed according to the measured drop in alkalinity using the pH/KH-Alkalinity test kit.
Concentration:
Liquid supplement: 1 ml will increase the alkalinity level of 100 liters of water by 0.1 dKH (0.03 meq/l).
