The iron fertilizer from the Dennerle Plant System Set

As the size of the aquarium increases, the amount and size of plants also increases. That's why we developed our plant system, a system with highly concentrated components. The components of Plant System V30 (complete fertilizer), Plant System S7 (vital substances) and Plant System E15 (iron fertilizer) are therefore developed to meet the needs of large aquariums. All macro and micronutrients as well as trace elements are covered.

E15 Plant System Iron Fertilizer provides all aquarium plants with divalent nutrient iron II that they can use immediately, ensuring a beautiful, fresh green color. Iron is of paramount importance for all aquarium plants. It is necessary for the formation of the vital green of the leaves. Without a green leaf, the plant cannot carry out photosynthesis. Iron deficiency manifests itself immediately: young leaves appear pale and yellowish (ferric chlorosis).

Important to know: Plants can only absorb so-called bivalent iron. Unfortunately, it is not stable in the aquarium, but is quickly oxidized and thus converted into ineffective "brown" trivalent iron. Tap water contains virtually no iron. Aquarium plants therefore depend on regular iron fertilization. Iron with effective protection and ensuring its long-term availability for aquarium plants (depot effect). E15 is phosphate and nitrate free and therefore does not promote algae growth. Special Note: Commercial iron tests often fail to detect chelated iron. These tests then indicate insufficient results, although there is actually enough iron in the aquarium water.

Application

Simply add tablets to the aquarium water, ideally after replacing some of the water. They slowly dissolve over a few days.

Dosage

1 tablet per 100 L (26.4 US gal) adds 0.27 mg/l (ppm) of iron to aquarium water. Regular use results in an iron content in the optimal range of 0.05-0.2 mg/l (ppm).
