How to use Proscan?
Download the free ProScanApp, soak the test strips in aquarium water and place them on the color chart for analysis. The color chart is scanned and the parameters are calculated. In the "freshwater aquarium" and "water" analysis, the system also calculates the current CO2 content of the water. Note: The test strip is only suitable for one measurement. Repeated uses of the strip will continue to respond, producing different values.
Possible errors during execution: When removing the test strip from the water, do not shake it vertically, as wet colors can spread to other color fields. You need to shake it horizontally and gently. Without flowing, the drops reflect too much light onto the sample, producing inaccurate results. Daylight is ideally used to pull test strips on swatches. More importantly, the incident light is uniform and is not composed of shadows and sun. The colors of the pattern are illuminated in different ways.

How accurate is this method?
Smartphones perform automatic white balance, which allows you to measure colors more accurately than comparing them visually. If the test is carried out correctly, the results are absolutely reliable. For nitrite results, if the JBL ProScan results do not show zero, repeated measurements with a drop test (JBL PROAQUATEST NO2 nitrite) have proven helpful.
