What is a uvc sterilizer used for?

Poor lighting conditions, too much fertilizer and nutrients can harm aquarium water and promote algae growth. Floating algae cause green cloudiness and bacteria cause whitish cloudiness. The sterilizer removes turbidity caused by bacteria and floating algae. The aquarium water is guided through the housing of a UV-resistant sterilizer. UVC radiation kills bacteria and other pathogens, as well as algae floating in running water.

The performance of this UVC sterilizer is very high and the glass shell is surrounded by a polished stainless steel reflective sheet which reflects UVC rays, thus doubling the efficiency. Most stubborn algae spores, such as string algae, are also destroyed, so removing them also has this positive effect.

There is no change in water parameters and no significant damage from cleaning bacteria in the filter.

Partial sterilization of water tanks up to 1500 liters (maximum pump 400 l/h) / pond 15000 l (maximum pump 4000 l/h), floating algae up to 500 l in water tanks (maximum pump 500 l/h) h) / pond up to 4000 l (pump up to 4000 l/h).

How to install it?

Connect the water sterilizer to an external filter or an external water pump. It can be mounted in any position with the included 90° bracket.

The JBL UVC water sterilizer has been TÜV tested and has a safety switch that switches off automatically as soon as the device is opened. The housing is UV resistant, the walls are robust and equipped with LED lights to indicate if the UVC lamp is working.
