Sansibar DARK 10kg from JBL provides good root support . This black soil substrate for freshwater or saltwater and terrariums, will allow you to obtain vigorous plant growth : the fine grain and density prevent the penetration of humus and other waste.

An ideal substrate

Bottom substrate is an important part of setting up an aquarium, as many animals forage for food on the bottom. Plants also need a strong footing and their roots absorb nutrients from the soil. Bottom fish absolutely need a substrate without sharp edges. Underfloor heating is only recommended for substrates containing medium to coarse particles. If the particles are too fine, the water cycle will not work properly.

Use :

Rinse surface with tap water to remove shipping marks. The soil substrate is sprayed on the nutrient substrate (JBL AquaBasis) to stimulate plant growth (approx. 6-8 cm for vigorous growth).

Algorithm :

Correct amount of soil substrate: length (cm) x width (cm): 140 = kilos of 5 cm thick substrate.
