500ml bottle containing a storage solution for pH electrodes.
Fresh-Start from Milwaukee is a set of pH calibration and electrode rinse solutions designed to optimize the accuracy of your measurements and prevent cross-contamination between samples or calibration solutions. (pH 4.01: 5 sachets, pH 7.01: 10 sachets, pH 10.01: 5 sachets, cleaning solution: 5 sachets)
The Milwaukee MW101 PRO pH Meter has won over fans around the world with its reliable, fast and simple operation as well as its toughness and accuracy.
The Milwaukee PRO pH Meter is preferred by people who test samples that cause other pH testers and meters to fail, from brewers and winemakers to hydroponics growers and farmers.
The Milwaukee PRO pH Meter offers:
The MW101 provides fast results with ±0.02 pH accuracy with two-point calibration.
The rugged counter is built to take a beating. Paired with a low-maintenance, lab-grade SE220 double-junction gel-filled electrode , the MW101 is ideal for everyone from educators and pool professionals to brewers and growers.
pH meters usually start to malfunction due to problems with the probe. The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference junction.
The glass bulb loses its sensitivity with use and will eventually fail. This is true for all pH probes.
The reference junction is a small hole that allows the counter to compare the sample to a reference. The reading is generated based on the electrical difference between the sample and the reference. If the junction hole is clogged, the pH probe will no longer work.
You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways.
The pH probe should be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Letting the probe dry out can also cause the junction hole to become clogged.
Storage in MA9015 pH Probe Storage Solution or pH Calibration Buffers will help solve both of these problems. Do not store in tap water and deionized water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe.
The best way to store the probe is to fill the probe cap with storage solution or calibration buffer and tighten the cap to prevent leaks. It is also recommended to store the electrode upright to further reduce the risk of leakage.
Sample residue can impact the sensitivity of the detection bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample contains a lot of organic matter. We recommend that you regularly dip your electrode in the MA9016 cleaning solution.
pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time, so make sure you calibrate regularly to keep your PRO pH meter accurate. Also, calibrate after cleaning or long storage.
