Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus is an animal welfare approved drug for the painless anesthesia, sedation, tranquilization or humane killing (euthanasia) of terminally ill freshwater and marine ornamental fish . Quick and gentle treatment for ornamental fish allowing a stress-free examination, e.g. swabbing of mucous membranes, under anesthesia. Adding narcomor to transport water will act as a sedative to ornamental fish, keeping them calm during transport.
Application and Dosage Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus
To be used as an anesthetic for ornamental fish:
Use: Add 5 ml (0.17 oz) of Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus to 10 l (2.6 gal) of aquarium or pond water. Draw the required amount of Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus into the syringe provided, then draw the same amount of water into the syringe. Press the plunger firmly to expel the contents into the prepared aquarium or pond water. Make sure the product is distributed as evenly as possible. Within minutes, the ornamental fish's breathing will slow down and they will no longer show any reaction. Their breathing becomes slow and regular. When ornamental fish are returned to the aquarium or pond, they resume normal activity within minutes. If symptoms suggestive of overdose occur (very weak or barely perceptible respiratory movements), immediately place the fish in a well-ventilated recovery bath and continue to move them and encourage them to swim in the correct direction. The fish should begin to gasp and its gills should begin to move if the resuscitation process is successful.
For use as a sedative when transporting ornamental fish:
Dilute 5ml (0.17oz) Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus with the same amount of aquarium or pond water using the supplied syringe, press the plunger firmly to expel the contents of the syringe into 40L (10.6 gal) carry water and ensure it is evenly distributed. Ornamental fish will be pacified in minutes for stress-free transportation. Do not return treated water to the aquarium or pond after transport.
For use as a humane means of euthanizing a fish:
Use: Add 15 ml (0.5 oz) Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus to 10 l (2.6 gal) of aquarium or pond water. Draw the required amount of Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus into the syringe provided, then draw the same amount of water into the syringe. Press the plunger firmly to expel the contents into the prepared aquarium or pond water. Make sure the product is distributed as evenly as possible. Leave the fish in the anesthetic bath for at least 30 minutes. Ornamental fish will go away peacefully without any pain.
