Summary

The MC810 MAX monitor automatically monitors and displays pH/TDS/Temperature levels. Just calibrate the settings and let the Milwaukee MAX monitor do the rest. The Milwaukee MC810 MAX pH/TDS/Temperature Monitor is preferred by people who want 24/7 monitoring of their pH and nutrient levels on an ongoing basis. Common uses are nutrient reservoirs, hydroponics and aquariums.

The Milwaukee MAX pH/TDS/Temperature Monitor offers the following benefits:

Accuracy

The Milwaukee MAX monitor offers ±0.2 pH accuracy with two-point manual calibration, ±2% of full scale TDS accuracy, and ±0.5°F (0.3C) temperature accuracy .

Automating

Just calibrate the settings and start monitoring 24/7!

Design features

Quick and easy to read results with 3 large backlit LCD digital displays. Accuracy of ±0.2 pH (0.0 pH to 12.0 pH). Accuracy of ±2% of full scale TDS. An external switch on the top of the unit converts conductivity from EC to TDS (ppm) using a conversion factor of 0.5 or 0.7. Simple two-point pH and one-point TDS calibration for increased accuracy, with manual adjusters for easy adjustment. MA911B/2 laboratory grade pH electrode (included) gel filled, double junction, for low maintenance and high performance. 6.5ft probe cables for greater flexibility when testing. 12 VDC power supply.

Use and maintenance

pH meters usually start to give poor results because of problems with the probe. The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference junction.

Detection bulb

The glass bulb loses its sensitivity with use and eventually breaks down. This is true for all pH probes.

Reference junction

The reference junction is a small hole that allows the counter to compare the sample to a reference. The reading is generated based on the electrical difference between the sample and the reference. If the hole in the junction becomes clogged, the pH probe will no longer work. You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways.

Storage

The pH probe must be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Allowing the lead to dry out may also cause the junction hole to become clogged. Storage in pH probe storage solution or pH calibration buffers solves both of these problems. Do not store in tap water and DI water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe. The best way to store the probe is to fill the probe cap with storage solution or calibration buffer and tighten the cap to prevent leaks. It is also recommended to store the electrode in an upright position to further reduce the risk of leakage.

Cleaning

Sample residue can impact the sensitivity of the detection bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample contains a lot of organic matter. We recommend regularly dipping your electrode in a cleaning solution.

Calibration

pH sensing bulbs lose sensitivity over time. So be sure to calibrate your pH PRO controller regularly to keep it accurate. Also, calibrate it after cleaning or a long period of storage.
