Why measure nitrate concentrations in an aquarium?
Nitrates develop from fish droppings and food scraps. They strongly promote the proliferation and growth of algae and cause stress to fish at a relatively high concentration.
Optimal content: less than 10 mg/L
Above 50 mg/L, it is recommended to partially replace the water with tap water low in nitrates (also to be measured before addition!)

HI781 comes with 2 measuring cuvettes and their caps, reagents for 25 nitrate tests, 25 filter papers, 1 filter holder, 1 mixing bottle with cap, 1 5 mL syringe with tip, 1 10 mL syringe, 1 graduated syringe of 1 mL, 1 plastic filler pipette, 1 16 gauge blunt needle and battery.
