The measurement scale of the salimeter ranges from 1.000 to 1.040 with an accuracy of 0.0005 at 25°C.

It is possible with this hydrometer to measure the exact value of the density of seawater. This measurement is preferably carried out in a separate container or in a turbulence-free area of the aquarium. For this purpose, the hydrometer must be stationary and in full water.
