How does ION Director® work?

The ONDON was designed as an accessory and requires a standalone GHL Doser 2 or a ProfiLux (3 or 4) aquarium controller with slave GHL Doser 2 to operate, see configurations below.

4 pump heads are required to perform the measurement.

To achieve the highest possible measurement accuracy, each test is performed with a freshly calibrated sensor. Two pump heads are used to supply the reference fluids necessary for this purpose. After the automatic calibration, a sample of aquarium water is pumped into the ION Director®.

After the measurement is completed, the sample water is pumped out again and collected in a separate container for later disposal.
