ProPond Summer S is a complete summer food in size S (3 mm) for fish from 15 to 35 cm. It contains the right protein/fat ratio of 4:1, taking into account the NEO Index, water temperature, function, animal size and age.
NEO-Index literally means: Optimized Energy Natural Nutrition. Behind this name hides the proportion of protein to fat in the food. If only the season were taken into consideration, fish would only need half the protein (2/1) in winter that they need in summer (4/1). But since it is not only the season, therefore the water temperature, that plays a determining role, but also the size and age of the animal, as well as the function of the food (p eg growth food = ProPond Growth), JBL has developed the NEO-Index which combines all these characteristics in one claim.
