The secret of Nyos Goldpods is in the premium quality raw material used. Fresh caught copepods are processed by a special process developed at the Norwegian University. This patent-pending method deactivates autolytic enzymes that could break down and release valuable substances such as fatty acids and proteins. In addition, copepods are covered with an ultra-thin membrane, which prevents the release of important nutrients.

The raw material used in Goldpods has been applied for some time in aquaculture, research, and ornamental fish farming:

1. At the Italian University of Ancona, Dr. Ike Olivotto discovered that the use of calanus, which is used here, has a very positive effect on increasing the size and lifespan of clownfish.

2. Commercial aquaculture operations conducted by Norsk Hummer AS have shown a significant increase in the survival rate of lobster larvae.

Due to the specified characteristics GOLDPODS are best suited for:

- Delicate carnivorous and omnivorous fish species (eg Anthias).
- LPS corals and non-symbiotic corals. Usually these show expansions of the polyps directly after eating.

Usage tips :

GOLDPODS can be introduced directly, for example using a pipette or a measuring cup. Alternatively, GOLDPODS can first be diluted with aquarium water in a separate container and then dispensed.
- 1-2 times a week for the feeding of LPS corals, with a pipette, after the lights have been turned off, directly in the water of the tank and in small quantities.

Ingredients :

Water 80%, crude protein 11.4%, crude fat 5.4%, crude fiber 2%, crude ash 1.2%. Additives: Anti-oxidants, colorants, preservatives.
