Nano-Tech Bio-Blocks are carefully manufactured to ensure optimum quality and porous structure and thus effectively control the quality and stability of the water column.
Each Nano-Tech Bio-Block has up to 1080m² (11635ft²) of surface area for the establishment of bacterial colonies.
Nano-Tech Bio-Blocks excel in establishing bacterial colonies in the form of bio-nano composite films. They allow different species of bacteria and fungi, such as nitrifying bacteria, yeasts, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc., to grow on their large surface area without decomposing them.
To facilitate maintenance and save space for other equipment, we advise you to put the Nano-Tech Bio-Block directly in your tank.

Replacement of Nano-Techs

For optimal effectiveness, Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres/Bio-Block should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months. However, when cleaning or replacing them, DO NOT change them all at the same time. Clean or replace only half so that enough bacterial colonies remain to grow in the freshly cleaned or replaced Bio-Spheres/Bio-Block.
