Quick and easy maintenance

Changing this Aquael filter media is child's play! Simply open your filter , remove the old foam and place the new one. For optimal results, it is advisable to soak the new foam in aquarium water for 24 hours before installation, in order to promote rapid colonization of bacteria. A simple rinse under water will remove any residue accumulated between two replacements.

When to change your filter foam?

To maintain consistently clear water, it is recommended to replace the foam every 4 to 6 weeks . If you notice a decrease in the flow rate of your filter, cleaning is necessary. Regular maintenance of your filtration helps preserve the quality of the water and the health of your fish and invertebrates.
