Pre-filter and fine filtration - as separation layer between mechanical and biological filter media

This specially formed filter material is intended for use after the layer of EHEIM MECH or MECHpro. EHEIM FIX acts as a separating layer between mechanical and biological filter media. This is where the largest dirt particles are trapped, thus removing them from the water before entering the biologically functional filter layers.
To equip an EHEIM external filter, we also offer EHEIM coarse filter pads to achieve the same result.
