Product Details

EHEIM TORFpellets consist of specially treated acid peat. It is rich in valuable substances such as humic acids and trace elements (so do not wash it off). Peat pellets lower (acidify) the pH of the water and thus reduce water hardness. However, pellets should only be used if the pH value required for the type of fish is exceeded. Peat filtration is particularly suitable for clear to black tropical waters.

Peat pellets lower the pH (water is acidified)

As a general rule, use when over 7.0 pH (depending on type of fish)

Caution :

Peat expands in water. So rinse before use.

Do not wash the pellets, otherwise valuable substances will be lost

Replace after 3-6 weeks

Do not use with activated carbon

Only suitable for fresh water
