AQUA MEDIC - Indicator-Resin - 1l - Demineralization resin for reverse osmosis

Mixed bed demineralizer to remove silicate, nitrate and other ions from osmosis water. The special silicate resin helps to limit the growth of diatoms, especially for the aquarium hobby.

It contains a special ion exchange resin which is followed by reverse osmosis to eliminate the last remnants of unretained substances. In particular with high silicate contents in tap water, this use makes it possible to limit the growth of diatoms.

The resin is placed downstream of the osmosis unit in the cartridges provided for this purpose (e.g. Aqua Medic demineralization filter, Aqua Medic platinum line plus, Top End Filter, RO-resin cartridge or other pure water filters available in trade). The amount of osmosis water released from remaining ions depends on the residual salt content and the flow rate.

Single-use resin. The resin is equipped with a color indicator that displays the efficiency of the filter material. When the conductivity of the desalinated osmosis water starts to increase again, the resin turns from blue to green and must be renewed.
