Product Details

The structure of Nano-Tech Bio Media is essentially made up of many small beads very tightly packed together so that there is only one point of contact between each of the beads, which allows the water to pass very easily between them.

This technology has been used for a very long time by the wastewater treatment industry. It is called aerated biological filter (W-BAF). However, in wastewater treatment, these beads are not in sphere, block or plug shapes.

They are used as the sand bed technique. But so it is not very practical for use in aquariums. So, we decided to manufacture with these pearls using a patented technology of spheres, blocks and plugs, much easier to use for us aquarists.
