Milwaukee CD601 is a conductivity tester specifically designed for water analysis. The calibration procedure is very simple and quick. This tester has automatic temperature compensation, 10 uS/cm resolution and a range of 0 to 1990 uS/cm. CD601 comes complete with protective cap, calibration screwdriver, batteries and instructions.
The life of an electrode varies with use and maintenance. Here are some tips for maximizing electrode longevity:
Rinsing: Rinse the electrode with tap water after each measurement. Rinsing with distilled water is recommended to avoid contamination of the different buffer solutions between them. However, distilled water is completely unsuitable for storing electrodes. Indeed, there would be a weakening of the glass bulb of the electrode.
Cleaning: Immerse the electrode in a cleaning solution for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. This solution depends on the type of fouling of the electrode, then calibrate (calibrate) the electrode (essential after cleaning!).
Storage: To avoid clogging of the electrode and to guarantee a fast response time, the glass bulb as well as the diaphragm (junction) must be kept “moist” and must not dry out. To do this, pour a few drops of a preservation solution into the protective cap of the electrode. This must be stored vertically.
