How does the CO² bubble counter work?

First of all, you must fill the bubble counter, then, connect the hose to the CO² system and the reactor and finally you can fix it outside the aquarium with the two suction cups on the glass or with the two screws on a piece of furniture.

You can easily count your bubbles using a magnifying glass incorporated in the transparent part, in order to obtain an accurate dosage.

Why use a CO² bubble counter?

Aquarium plants need to have the correct CO² level in the water. Carbon dioxide is an essential element to give all the basic nutrients to plants and promote their well-being. CO² is used by plants for photosynthesis, which thus provides essential oxygen to water. Harmful substances are removed, animals have more hiding places. This also helps prevent algae growth and reduce pathogenic germs.

For the safety of the bubble counter, it has screw-on hose connections and is easy to fill and clean, thanks to a threaded connection with O-ring. The correct amount of CO² is not the same for each aquarium and will depend on volume, water movement and plants. We recommend starting with 10 CO² bubbles per minute. A CO² test is recommended to check the CO² content in your aquarium.
