Ultra-concentrated calcium and carbonate hardness for saltwater aquariums
Tropic Marin ® CARBOCALCIUM provides a unique solution to cover all the calcium and carbonate hardness requirements of a typical reef aquarium , without creating unwanted additional compounds or excess carbonic acid.
In the aquarium, the growth of organisms as well as other processes consume minerals which must therefore be added regularly. These minerals are primarily calcium as well as carbonate hardness-generating substances necessary for the growth of the calcareous skeletons of hard corals, red coral algae and other reef organisms. The special and perfectly dosed components of CARBOCALCIUM create the best conditions with just one solution.
Tropic Marin ® CARBOCALCIUM makes it possible to avoid all the collateral effects of other methods of calcareous hardening: the pH remains stable; no excess CO 2 is generated and there is no risk that undesirable phosphates are brought by the coral gravel. Beyond this, the product does not cause any creeping increase in salinity, and does not accelerate oxygen consumption due to carbon compounds.

Manual :
Start with a daily dosage of 5 ml of CARBOCALCIUM per 100 l of aquarium water. Increase this daily dosage, while monitoring the carbonate hardness, once a week, by 2.5 ml per 100 l of aquarium water until you reach a constant carbonate hardness of 7-9 °dH. At the same time also check the calcium concentration in the aquarium – this should be between 400 and 440 mg/l.
A maximum daily dosage of 25 ml CARBOCALCIUM per 100 l of aquarium water must not be exceeded.
1000 ml of CARBOCALCIUM contain 40,000 mg of calcium and 5600° of carbonate hardness.
