Product preparation

Mix S.parkle for 3-5 minutes in fresh water with an industrial mixer using a maximum of 100g per litre. First create a vortex, then slowly add S.parkle to the water. Start with an inoculum of between 250 and 1,000 rotifers per ml. Apply according to the cultivation strategy below.

Preparation of the tank

Clean and disinfect the culture tank, airstones, air tubes before use. For example, use 200 g/m³ of active chlorine + detergent. Disinfect the water in the tank with for example 10 ppm of active chlorine and aerate gently for ± 1 hour. Deactivate any remaining chlorine by adding 12 ppm sodium thiosulfate. Suspend the airstones 15cm above the bottom of the tank, along the periphery and also in the center to allow sedimentation and flushing of waste particles. Culture Feeding Strategy - Feed daily amounts in 4-6 rations or use a continuous feeder. On the first day of culture, start with 0.7 g of S.parkle per million rotifers. From this quantity, use as background feed: low density (300 rot/ml) 80 ppm. Average density (500 rot/ml) 100 ppm. High density (1000 rot/ml) 120 ppm. Never exceed a maximum daily feed of 600 ppm.
