In collaboration with a Canadian biotech company, PolypLab has manufactured a unique blend of bacterial strains with concentrations of over 80 billion cells/mL. In their planktonic state, these bacteria are a highly nutritious food source for corals and zooplankton. More importantly, these complementary bacterial strains form nutrients consumed by the biofilms.
