Ultra Bak is a nutrient solution for bacteria commonly found in a marine aquarium. After addition of Ultra Bak product, the bacteria will grow rapidly and so will convert unwanted nutrients like nitrite, nitrate and phosphate into biomass. The bacteria will either be skimmed off or utilized by corals and filter feeders, providing an additional source of natural food. Most corals can also use Ultra Bak directly as an energy source. The levels of denitrifying bacteria are improved, which makes the living rocks and the Zeolite type filter even more effective in breaking down and eliminating unwanted nitrogen compounds. Bak ultra reduces nitrite, nitrate and phosphate; combined with Ultra Lith and Ultra Min S, it provides a safe and easy method for maintaining extremely nutrient-depleted water and amazing colors in your reef aquarium.

Ultra Bak is suitable for aquariums with or without Zeolite filtration

Dosage:

2 - 5 ml per 1000 L per day. depending on the nutrient concentration and density of live rock. It is recommended to start treatment with a low dose and increase in stages.

In older tanks with high nutrient concentrations, reduce phosphate concentrations with Ultra Phos before using Ultra Bak. Then reduce the dose of Ultra Bak by 75% and increase the dose every two weeks by 10%. Monitor your water parameters very carefully. In case there are films on glass and/or rocks, the dose is too high.
