High-end LED lighting with integrated WiFi

The MAX® E Series includes the all-new ReefLED™ 90 lights from Red Sea which are designed to ensure optimal coral growth and maximum rendition of their vibrant colors. The heart of the unit is a compact array of LEDs that produces a REEF-SPEC light spectrum through a REEF-SPEC blue channel (23,000K) which is an optimal combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and a white channel of 8000 K. Added to this is a 3W Moonlight channel dedicated to the low light intensities necessary for nocturnal observations. The compact LED matrix sits beneath an optical glass lens which creates a homogeneous light which allows spectacular coral color rendition and a soft shimmering effect in the aquarium.

ReefLEDs are controlled by the ReefBeat® app from Red Sea which offers a wide range of easy to use functions including random clouds, acclimatization for new installations and a lunar cycle for the moonlight channel.

The Led module is firmly fixed to the aquarium and flips up for easy access to rear settling, maintenance and reefscaping. The MAX® E-170 reef aquarium is equipped with a ReefLED 90 module. The MAX® E-260 has two ReefLED 90 modules paired by the WiFi controller.

Revolutionary MAX scalable settling system^®E-Series (patent pending)

Starting your reef will probably be with the rear settling housing the filtration and mixing systemsREEF-SPEC^®. If you later decide to add other components such as a Calcium Reactor, the modular filtration system can be expanded by installing an optional decanter in the cabinet.

The unique overflow system of Red Sea, with its regulated drop valve (the same used in the larger S-Series), easily connects to bulkheads without gluing, cutting or draining the entire aquarium.

The conversion kit contains a specific glass decanter with a constant height skimmer compartment, a regulated flow downspout as well as evaporation compensation.

MAX^®E-Series with Ultra Clear Glass

The face and both sides of the MAX^®E-Series are made of Ultra Clear glass for the best possible viewing experience. The 12mm thickness of the front panel means that we can do without reinforcements. This allows for a better design with beveled edges at the top and bottom.

Brewing the MAXs^®E-Series

Two eco-pumps of European origin are installed in the E-260 and pulse 4300L/h, circulating the entire volume of water 16 times per hour through the filtration system. The maximum^®E-170 is equipped with a 2150L/h pump. The water returns to the aquarium via a discreet nozzle adjustable in all directions, which avoids dead zones and the accumulation of waste harmful to corals.

MAX rear settling^®E-Series

MAX aquariums^®E-Series are in two parts: the aquarium and the rear sump in which all the filtration and brewing systems are concealed. The decantations of the MAX^®E-Series contain multi-stage filtration consisting of a protein skimmerREEF-SPEC^®, activated carbon and mechanical filter media. The decantation compatible with a cold unit can also accommodate additional chemical filtration media.

MAX protein skimmer^®E-Series.

The heart of the filtration system is the protein skimmer. The MSK 900 skimmer meets the criteriaREEF-SPEC^®For SPS corals by allowing the volume of aquarium water to pass at least 3 times per hour with a water:air ratio of 3:1. MAX protein skimmers^®E-Series are not affected by regular water level fluctuations due to evaporation. They feature an adjustable outlet valve to maintain the optimum foam consistency regardless of water conditions. The new pump/impeller assembly heats up less and operates quieter than before. In addition, the silencer placed on the air inlet is very effective.

MAX filter media basket^®E-Series.

The rear decantation is equipped with a basket of filter media for the new CoalREEF-SPEC^®Phosphate-free Red Sea supplied in the kit and has several levels to easily add other filter media.

Connection kit for cold unit

The decantations of the MAX^®E-Series have a dedicated location for the supply pump of an optional chiller. The fittings for the cold group are also provided but not the cold group itself nor the pipes to connect it.

Integrated Power Center

The MAX^®E-Series are equipped with the One Plug concept and an easy-to-access Power Center with 7 individual outlets for system components. The Power Center is installed in the cabinet and allows safe and easy control of all items plugged into it.

Furniture MARINE-SPEC

The MAX^®E-Series are placed on a cabinet in marine melamine with push-button doors covered with all-weather epoxy paint, damped on closing and mounted on stainless steel hinges. The cabinets are wide open to allow good ventilation of the cold unit.
