High-end LED lighting with integrated WiFi
The MAX® E Series features the all-new ReefLED™ 90 lights Red Sea which are designed to ensure optimal coral growth and maximum rendering of their vibrant colors. The heart of the unit is a compact LED array that produces a REEF-SPEC light spectrum thanks to a REEF-SPEC blue channel (23,000K) which is an optimal combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and an 8000K white channel. In addition, there is a 3W Moonlight channel dedicated to the low light intensities necessary for nighttime observations. The compact LED array is located under an optical glass lens that creates a homogeneous light which allows for spectacular coral color rendering and a soft shimmering effect in the aquarium.
ReefLEDs are controlled by the ReefBeat® app from Red Sea which offers a wide range of easy-to-use features including random clouds, acclimatization for new installations and a lunar cycle for the moonlight channel.
The Led module is firmly fixed to the aquarium and can be raised for easy access to the rear sump, maintenance and reefscaping. The MAX® E-170 reef aquarium is equipped with a ReefLED 90 module. The MAX® E-260 has two ReefLED 90 modules paired by the Wifi controller.
Revolutionary MAX Scalable Decanting System®E-Series (patent pending)
Starting your reef will likely be with the rear sump housing the filtration and mixing systems.REEF-SPEC®. If you later decide to add other components such as a Calcium reactor, the modular filtration system can be expanded by installing an optional decantation in the cabinet.
The unique overflow system of Red Sea, with its regulated descent valve (the same as that used in the larger S-Series), easily connects to the bulkheads without gluing, cutting or emptying the entire aquarium.
The conversion kit contains a specific glass decantation with a constant height skimmer compartment, a regulated flow water descent as well as evaporation compensation.
MAX®E-Series with Ultra Clear Glass
The front and both sides of the MAX®E-Series are made of Ultra Clear glass for the best possible viewing experience. The 12mm thickness of the front panel means that we can do without reinforcements. This allows for a better design with beveled edges at the top and bottom.
MAX mixing®E-Series
Two eco-pumps of European origin are installed in the E-260 and pulse 4300L/h, circulating the entire volume of water 16 times per hour in the filtration system. The MAX®E-170 is equipped with a 2150L/h pump. The water returns to the aquarium via a discreet nozzle adjustable in all directions which avoids dead zones and the accumulation of waste harmful to corals.
Rear decantation of the MAX®E-Series
MAX Aquariums®E-Series are in two parts: the aquarium and the rear sump in which all the filtration and mixing systems are hidden. The sumps of the MAX®E-Series contain multi-stage filtration consisting of a protein skimmerREEF-SPEC®, activated carbon and mechanical filtration masses. The decantation compatible with a refrigeration unit can also accommodate additional chemical filtration masses.
MAX Protein Skimmer®E-Series.
The heart of the filtration system is the protein skimmer. The MSK 900 protein skimmer meets the criteriaREEF-SPEC®For SPS corals by allowing the passage of the aquarium water volume at least 3 times per hour with a water:air ratio of 3:1. The MAX skimmers®E-Series are not affected by regular water level fluctuations due to evaporation. They feature an adjustable outlet valve to maintain optimum foam consistency regardless of water conditions. The new pump/impeller assembly runs cooler and quieter than before. In addition, the silencer on the air inlet is very efficient.
MAX filter media basket®E-Series.
The rear decantation is equipped with a filter media basket for the new CarbonREEF-SPEC®Phosphate free Red Sea supplied in the kit and has several levels to easily add other filter masses.
Connection kit for refrigeration unit
The MAX decantations®E-Series have a dedicated location for the feed pump of an optional refrigeration unit. The connections for the refrigeration unit are also provided but not the refrigeration unit itself or the pipes to connect it.
Integrated Power Center
The MAX®E-Series are equipped with the One Plug concept and an easy-to-access Power Center with 7 individual sockets for the system elements. The Power Center is installed in the cabinet and allows safe and easy control of all elements connected to it.
MARINE-SPEC furniture
The MAX®E-Series are placed on a marine melamine cabinet with push-open doors covered with all-weather epoxy paint, soft-close and mounted on stainless steel hinges. The cabinets are wide open to allow good ventilation of the refrigeration unit.
