Product Details

Mg Plus was created to fill shortages and sudden drops in magnesium levels. Magnesium is necessary for healthy and balanced coral growth. The proper level of magnesium in aquarium water allows corals to better absorb calcium. Low magnesium levels can lead to an inability to maintain proper calcium levels and lower pH. The recommended level of magnesium in reef aquariums is 1180 – 1460 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage: 10 ml of magnesium solution increases the level of magnesium by 10 mg/l (ppm) in 100 l of water.

Dosage should be established based on water testing and daily coral consumption. Before adding Mg Plus, it is recommended to test the level of magnesium in the water. We do not recommend increasing magnesium levels more than 100 ppm per day. Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to increase or adjust your calcium and alkalinity levels.
