Phosphate adsorption capacity: 25g per kilogram of RowaPhos.

Using advice. :

To obtain the best phosphate and silicate reduction results with RowaPhos resin and to keep levels close to zero in your aquarium, you should follow the product's recommendations and use the resin regularly, for example renewing it every 1 to 2 months.

Phosphates are a known source of cyanophyte invasion in the aquarium, red for saltwater or green for the freshwater aquarium. Source of nutrients for these harmful algae, few freshwater aquarists think of eradicating this plague with an anti-phosphate resin.

The practice is much more widespread for marine aquariums.

RowaPhos absorb phosphates, silicates and arsenic. It is completely safe in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. When exhausted, it does not release any chemicals into the water.

Rowa Phos has been tested over 5-year longevities without change, no release has been measured.

Method :

Never wash the product. It must be kept moist at all times, it is not effective if it dries out. After use close the lid or recondition in another container.

Place the product between two layers of perlon and use in forced passage if possible. Otherwise use a sock and place it in a place with strong passage of aquarium water.

Do not pour into the aquarium without a container.

Do not place it in water without surrounding it with filter wool such as perlon.

You can use a fluidized filter but keep a layer of perlon at the end of it to avoid the dispersion of colored dust. The active base of the product being certainly iron oxide (supposition of Atlantid-France and binding only on us)

Regularly measure the phosphate level to monitor the effectiveness of the resin. When these rise, you must renew your anti-phosphate resin.

Note: Unfortunately, most phosphate test kits available are not capable of detecting minute levels of phosphate.
It is necessary in a reef aquarium for example not to exceed a rate of 0.015ppm.
for the aquarium, slightly higher rates can be tolerated.
