With the Smart Reef app, colorimetric analysis takes on new meaning. Your results are stored in your account and the measurement history allows you to easily share your settings with other amateurs.

Manual

1. Take 2 ml of water from the aquarium with a syringe and pour into the bottle

2 Add 4 drops from the Mg Reagent dropper to bottle 1. Carefully swirl the bottle in a circular motion.

3. Shake the Mg 2 reagent, then add 3 drops of the liquid into the test tube. Stir the solution carefully with circular movements. The liquid in the test tube should turn pink

4a. Thread the dispensing needle onto a 1 ml syringe.
4b. Enroll 1 ml of Ca 3 reagent. The tip of the plunger should indicate exactly 1 ml. NOTE: The air between the liquid and the piston does not affect the accuracy of the test.

5. Using a syringe with a dispensing needle, add the Mg 3 reagent dropwise directly to the liquid in the test tube so that it does not remain on the walls. Shake the tube after each drop and observe the color change.

6 The pink solution will gradually begin to turn into a transitional color - purple. When you notice the liquid has turned blue, stop flowing.

7. Read the amount of Reagent 3 Liquid Mg remaining in the syringe as indicated by the syringe plunger. Compare with the results table or enter the user panel of Smart Reef.
