With the Smart Reef app, colorimetric analysis takes on new meaning. Interpretation of results is clear, and easy-to-interpret recommendations are given by the app, on how to keep parameters in the most optimal range. Your results are stored in your account and the measurement history allows you to easily share your settings with other amateurs.
Manual
1. Take 2 ml of water from the aquarium with the syringe and pour it into the bottle
2. Add 3 drops from the Ca Reagent 1 dropper to the bottle. Carefully swirl the bottle in a circular motion.
3. Shake the Ca 2 reagent, then add 3 drops of the liquid to the test tube. Stir the solution carefully with circular movements. The liquid in the test tube should turn pink
4a. Thread the dispensing needle onto a 1 ml syringe. 4b. Add 1 ml of Ca 3 reagent. The tip of the plunger should indicate exactly 1 ml. NOTE: The air between the liquid and the piston does not affect the accuracy of the test.
5. Using a syringe with a dispensing needle, add the Ca 3 reagent dropwise directly to the liquid in the test tube so that it does not remain on the walls. Shake the tube after each drop and observe the color change.
6. The pink solution will gradually begin to turn into a transitional color - purple. When you notice the liquid has turned blue, stop flowing.
7. Read the amount of Ca Reagent 3 liquid remaining in the syringe as indicated by the syringe plunger. Compare with the results table or enter the user panel of Smart Reef.

Based on the test results, the Smart Reef System will make supplementation recommendations to you to maintain the best living conditions for your corals. You can enter these recommendations yourself, or if you have our dosing pumps, you can send them directly to the dosing pumps, which in turn will dispense precisely the right amounts of supplements to deliver the essentials your pets need.
