Seatest PO4 from Aquarium Systems is a box of 40 tests for the phosphate content in your freshwater and saltwater aquarium . PO4 phosphate is a residue from the decomposition of organic matter such as uneaten food, fish excrement… It has the ability to cause algae growth.

Test your water with Seatest PO4

Although it is preferable that the PO4 values are as low as possible, values up to 0.5 mg/l are still acceptable. Caution: Phosphates tend to form insoluble salts, which add to sediments at the bottom. So be sure to regularly remove the sludge from the bottom of your aquarium. Keep well out of the reach of children.

The box contains a reagent for tests, a measuring cylinder, a colored scale, instructions for use.

When should the phosphate level be tested?

You can test as often as possible with PO4 in order to obtain good quality water for your fish, corals and plants.

What is the recommended phosphate level?

For phosphate, the maximum content should be 0.05 mg/L for a freshwater aquarium and 0mg/L for a saltwater aquarium.
